Catholic United Financial

ST. JOHN BOSCO COUNCIL #393

Chairperson: Eugene Halbur

Catholic United Financial is a not-for-profit fraternal insurance and benefit company with a dual purpose: provide high-quality insurance and financial products to Catholics; and encourage volunteer services by providing grants to our councils in support of Catholic religious education and Catholic schools. Our Tri-Parish has benefited greatly from their matching grants, technology grant and the student life benefit program this past year. If you are interested in becoming a member of Catholic United Financial, contact David Schonhardt at 763-670-9058 or contact the Fraternal Department at 1-800-568-6670.

The St. John Bosco Council is sponsoring our Tri-Parish Christmas Caroling Hayride again this year. Last year 77 of our youth in grades 6-12 went Christmas Caroling through Pipestone and stopped to sing at Ridgeview, Good Samaritan, and Falls Landing. The response from the three facilities was of awe. They were excited to see so many youth and said they couldn’t wait to have them back next year. The Council also sponsors the Grades 3-5 Reconciliation Retreat and the Noah's Ark Christmas bake sale. This is putting our faith into action! To quote Bishop Quinn at Confirmation. “Our future is here and it looks very bright!”

MINISTREE

FREE MONEY is available to the Tri-Parish. All it takes is a couple extra steps when you volunteer your valuable time. In 2014, our three parishes earned about $1,050.00 by participating in the program. The MinisTREE is an initiative of our Tri-Parish’s chapter of Catholic United Financial. When there is an opportunity to volunteer in the parish or community, it is placed on the tree in the concourse at St. Leo or entrances at St. Martin and St. Joseph. If you complete a volunteer task that is NOT on a card, go to the Tri-Parish office and complete a card. The completed cards can be turned into the office. Catholic United Financial then donates $5 back to the parish for the volunteer effort! Take a second to check out the opportunities and see if you can find our Tri-Parish FREE MONEY!
